Blonde brick, 4th house on the right. Feel free to park in the driveway, in the grass to the left of the driveway, or along the street in front of the house.
Since this is a 'one-woman-show', drop offs & pick ups are by appointment only 9am-6pm. This way I'll be ready to greet you when you arrive, and not in the middle of working a dog or helping another client. Arriving outside of this window will result in a $25 after-hours fee.
If your dog runs out of food during their stay or you forget to bring their food, they will be fed Orijen Amazing Grains kibble for a daily cost of $2-$7 depending on their weight. Charges are due upon pick up.
Muddy Mutts is happy to administer any veterinarian prescribed or supplemental medications your dog requires, with the exception of injections. Medications must be in their original container from the vet or pharmacy and be clearly labeled with your dog’s name, vet contact info, and dosage. If your pet requires a pill pocket or any other items to take medication(s), you the owner must provide these items.
The form below will need to be filled out & turned in upon drop off.

DownloadStart feeding your dog some meals inside their crate. Any high value bones/chews/treats should be given in the crate to build a positive association.
Avoid letting them out of the crate when they're making a fuss. Ignore tantrums. When they are calm, walk by and drop treats in the crate.
Instead of focusing on what you want them to *not do*, try rewarding what you *do* want them to do.
Keep a portion of their food or treats on you or readily available to reward them any time they're calm, paying attention to you, or doing a good behavior you like!
Your dog has instincts, energy, and drives they need fulfilled in order to be a balanced member of your family. If these needs are not being met, this is frequently when we start seeing behavior issues.
Ask yourself: What was my dog's breed originally bred to do? For example: If you have a herding breed, you may look into a 'collie ball', herding lessons, or the sport of treibball to channel those drives. Or maybe you have a hound that's dying to use their nose in scent work games or tracking.
In order to keep up with your dog's training and ensure long-term success, you'll need to find room in your schedule for training practice and will likely need to make some changes to how you interact with them on a daily basis. Training requires both you and your dog to put in the effort!
It's important that the people in the dog's life everyday are consistent with the new rules! If not, this will be very confusing to your pup and may lead to training issues.
It's your turn to learn! I'll show you everything your dog has learned and how you can maintain and build on that training when you go home.
This session usually takes about an hour.
The more you put into the training, the more you'll get out of it. If possible, practice obedience drills a couple times a day with short 5-10 minute sessions. Good manners should be consistently reinforced all day, every day. For example: jumping/pulling/door dashing is not allowed ever, not just during formal training sessions. Remember to reward heavily for the behaviors you DO want to see!
Two credits for private lessons will be added to your account. Log in to your client portal to schedule. Feel free to use these whenever you need help! Most clients prefer to do these lessons in their home to help with the transition.
For when your pup feels a bit rusty on training. Log in to your client portal to book.
