What's in a typical day for a board & train dog?

Several 'formal' training sessions
'Informal' training constantly throughout the day
Group playtime (if they're social with other dogs)
Puzzles & mental enrichment
Individual time with me doing something the dog enjoys (fetch, tug, cuddles, etc.)
Quiet time in their crate with bully sticks or stuffed kongs
Soothing classical music during quiet time
Sniffari walks to the back of the property
Depending on weather and your dog's progress, we may go for lake play or hiking adventures too!

In the Manners Program, we work on:

Walking on a leash without pulling: so you can enjoy walking the dog more, which means they'll get more exercise (leading to overall calmer behavior!)
No jumping on you or guests
How to settle and be calm in the house: less chaos, more relaxation!
Learning to come when called
How to be calm in the crate even when there are other things going on
No counter surfing: don't sacrifice the Thanksgiving turkey...again
No darting out open doors, because nobody wants to chase their dog down the street in their pajamas!
No mouthing or inappropriate play biting

This program includes:

10-day board & train stay to give your dog's training a big jumpstart!
Owner training session on pick up day to show you what your dog has learned and teach you how to maintain & build on that training at home.
Two follow up in-home training sessions. One-on-one help to ensure the training transfers smoothly over to you.
New slip lead
Bath and nail trim before your dog goes home. Leave the mud, take the mutt! :)
8"x10" professional quality photo print of your dog's portrait mailed to you after their board & train stay.
Access to book boarding with refresher training.

30-Day Obedience: $3,600

Ditch the stress, enjoy your dog anywhere.

Know that you can take your dog out in public, on restaurant patios, or on vacation without being embarrassed by their behavior!

We'll start with basic manners, then take your dog's training to a higher level by adding/strengthening formal commands and working around added distractions and in public locations. There will be a strong focus on teaching obedience commands that are not only useful on a daily basis, but could save your dog's life one day!

The Obedience Program includes everything in the Manners Program PLUS:

Upgrade to a 30-day board & train stay to teach your dog the necessary skills and behaviors. This takes all the initial work off your hands and means faster, more reliable results!
Owner training session halfway through the board & train stay (in addition to the send-home & follow-up lessons)
Three follow up in-home training sessions. Extra one-on-one help to ensure the training transfers smoothly over to you.
Heel: your dog will walk nicely next to you without pulling and sit automatically when you stop. No more shoulder injuries for you!
Place: send your dog to their bed when you're eating dinner or welcoming guests
Come: know your dog will come back to you when you call them
Other commands: Sit, down, stay, okay, drop it, leave it
Working around distractions such as other dogs, people, food, toys, etc. which means they'll listen regardless of what else is going on around you
Working in various public locations so your dog knows they have to behave everywhere
Body handling: getting them comfortable with their ears, feet, mouth, & tail touched/examined and used to light body restraints they will encounter at the vet's office or groomer. Muzzle acclimation available by request.
